The award-winning Hibernia Express (GTT Express) is also noteworthy. This low-latency, high-capacity submarine communications cable stretches over 2,855 miles from New York to the UK, with branches running into Nova Scotia, Canada and the Republic of Ireland. It was the longest cable project in the world at the time of its installation. It was recognised through two highly prestigious awards: Project of the Year (2015) and Global Telecom Business Innovation Award (2016). Port Hill Marine Ltd provided this project with its Fisheries Liaisons Team, as well as the required 6-strong fleet of Guard Vessels. Working successfully together, both on-shore and off-shore throughout, we prevented any disruption to this project’s progress. In addition, we were instrumental in securing the recovery of the old cable.

Port Hill Marine Ltd has also provided extensive Fisheries Liaison for a wide range of projects across the globe, including the UK, Europe, Canada, and the USA.
